Defiant Celtic's manager insists he is not worried about being fired yet Celtic fans show fury after defeat.

Wilfried Nancy declared he did not fear losing his job, claiming, “I believe we are extremely close to changing our fortunes,” even after sliding worryingly close to the chopping block with a convincing defeat by Rangers.

Another Capitulation Sees Old Firm Loss

The home side had led the visitors at the break but a second-half capitulation let the Gers to move level on points with the defending league title holders. The former MLS manager, who was brought in from Columbus Crew, has now overseen six setbacks in his first eight matches.

Nancy’s Persistent Belief

Nancy remains focused on the fact the side can perform strongly for a half at a time. Danny Röhl was cautious about a title charge in spite of what appeared to be a statement victory. “We take it game by game, so we can gradually build something here,” he said. “The confidence in the group is outstanding.”
