A man from Australia that leaped across a fence and touched Hollywood star Ariana Grande has been deported and banned from Singapore.

The man, twenty-six, was handed a penalty to over a week in jail for disrupting public order and has now been "barred from re-entering Singapore," the country's border control informed local media.

He forced his way beyond security and approached aggressively the performer and artist, who was participating in the Asian debut for Wicked: For Good on 13 November. Co-performer Cynthia Erivo intervened to remove him from Grande.

Wen has a history of disrupting concerts and celebrity events, including jumping on stage at a Katy Perry performance in Sydney in June this year.

The occurrence caused anger in Singapore, with numerous people accusing him of triggering past trauma for the singer.

The celebrity has spoken of dealing with trauma-related anxiety after a explosive incident at her concert in Manchester in several years ago killed 22 individuals and affected hundreds.

During Wen's trial, the judge was informed he had tried to gain access on the movie's debut multiple times, according to local news sources.

He then made a second attempt to breach security. Security staff stopped him and restrained him.

Wen later posted video clips expressing gratitude to the star for permitting his access and said he was "free."

Law enforcement arrested him the next day and brought charges against him with disorderly conduct, to which Wen pleaded guilty.

The Presiding Judge the judicial official was quoted by media reports as saying that Wen was "attention seeking", commenting that he was mistaken to believe he would not suffer any consequences.

The actress has not addressed the case.

The co-star spoke about the situation to a media outlet, saying that she "simply desired to make sure my colleague was secure."

"I'm sure he didn't mean us danger, but you cannot be certain with these incidents, and I sought to ensure that she was alright. That was my first instinct," she said.
