The Streaming Giant Chooses Ideal Star for Mr. 2 in the Hit Series Season 3

The Secret Organization is set to exert significant influence in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, although the major clash isn’t set to occur until the third season, and a beloved, fan-favorite member has recently been selected.

Netflix announced this week that Cole Escola has joined the One Piece cast for the third season and will portray Bon Clay. Bon Clay possesses the power to transform into an exact copy of any individual they’ve touched with their dominant hand. Escola, who is non-binary and prefers they/them pronouns, will play a version of that figure reinterpreted as non-binary identifying, as opposed to as a drag artist, in the real-life adaptation, unlike the source material and anime.

This performer is joined by several other recently announced actors tasked with bringing Baroque Works to life, including head Sir Crocodile, brought to life by the well-known actor, Sophia Anne Caruso as another operative, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who will appear as the ensemble as the ruler of Alabasta.

Although this character is a important part of the organization, the character will be introduced in One Piece season 3. Considering the second season likely to portray the Little Garden segment, this signals a significant shift in the timing of their first appearance, one that could signal further changes to the narrative framework.

Their mix of sharp comedic timing and emotional depth makes them a ideal selection for the role. Besides their recent voice performance in the youth-focused cartoon movie Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and numerous honors for penning and acting in the popular theatrical show Oh Mary!, highlighting the versatility they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s widely praised figures.

The streaming service’s real-life One Piece series is set to return for its second season on March 10, 2026.
