Thousands Attend First Israeli Burial Ceremony Since Captive Bodies Were Repatriated

When Michel Illouz gradually progressed through the masses beneath the tall evergreens and date palms at the burial ground in Ra'anana, a community located 13 miles north of Tel Aviv, he showed appreciation to numerous participants as he could.

Throughout the initial segment of the service, Illouz had dedicated all his efforts on supporting his younger children. He stroked the hair of his female children, held his son, kissed his neck and composed himself for them. But then his voice broke.
